April 30, Father/Daughter time!

Mommy went out to dinner with her girlfriends, so Daddy and I got to have some good hang-time tonight. I love hanging out with my daddy. We take lots and lots of pictures of all the fun things I do.

I got a good and bad surprise yesterday when I was at the G'rents. The good surprise is Grandpa came home and spent the afternoon with me. The bad surprise is he had to come home because Grandma was feeling very sick. She went to bed in the afternoon, and I think she will stay there overnight. It's no fun being sick, or so they tell me. I've had the sniffles once so far (knock on wood)

Back On Schedule!

Grandma and Grandpa Gaylor got home from their vacation to Mexico late last night. Mommy and I were SOOOOOO excited to see them!! We miss them very much when they are out of town, and especially out of the country! Mommy dropped me off at their house this morning. When she pulled into the driveway, turned off the car, and came around to my side, I was grinning from ear to ear!! Grandma was as excited to see me as I was to see her! I showed her some of my new tricks, like walking with the activity walker and walking between her and mommy. I also showed off what a good crawler I am now. Grandma was most impressed.

I enjoyed when she and Grandpa gave me breakfast (I loooooove to eat!) and they started my bath as Mommy was grabbing her keys to leave for work. I was so happy to be with the G'rents that I didn't even notice when Mommy left!

I was a pretty good napper for G'ma, which I'm sure she appreciated. You know what else I'm getting good at? "Push", where I push on the light switch. I also have nailed Pat-A-Cake and I can sign "more" on command. I don't quite know what that word means, but at least I know the sign for it. Grandma is also teaching me where our noses are. My Grandma... she's a good teacher, and I love her for it!

That's enough for now. I want to get back to playing with my soccer ball w/ Daddy, and then I'll practice walking between Mom & Dad. I'm getting pretty good at that. And I'm also getting better balance when I try standing in place.

I had a pretty good time practicing my balancing and walking act tonight. I know I'm gonna sleep like a rock!! I had a great time with Grandma today. She loves all my tricks!

I Love Bath Time

I love it when Mommy gives me a bath. This just might be my favorite time of day. I usually have my bath before my first nap of the day.

I had a pretty mellow day today. We went to our neighborhood HOA meeting down at Z's Deli. I was more interested in walking around, so Mommy and Daddy took turns having a little 1-on-1 time with me. We thought about going to the Home and Garden show at the Clark County Fairgrounds, but we decided Home was a better place to be. Daddy did some work in the garage, and mommy made a fantastic dinner. We had Spinach Pesto ravioli, some mixed veggies and 'homemade' herb bread (it had parsley & basil flakes & garlic powder and was so YUMMY!!!) The bread complimented the ravioli so well. It was DELISH. I ate 2 pieces of the ravioli and I liked it very much. Daddy even said that the bread rivaled the French Bread that mommy makes, and he didn't think anything would. Good job, Mommy!!

What a BeeYooTiFull Day!!!

The sun is shining, and I am loving it!! I'm going to wear my very cute tan shorts and pink shirt, and I will be a sight to behold!! Mommy and Auntie Lynn are going golfing today while Daddy and Uncle Ross hang out with me. Hmmm... the Chicks are golfing and the Dudes are hanging with the Chicklette. Isn't that the way it should be? I think so! :-)

I slept about 12 hours last night (zoinks!), so I'm ready to have lots of fun with Ross and Daddy.

Finally a walk!

Mommy took me for a walk, and it was fabulous, though I wasn't crazy about wearing my hat. I am having a GREAT time pulling myself up on everything, and I am a CRUISER!! I keep Mom & Dad on their toes!!
I enjoyed playing with the cute pink bear Judy Davis gave to me. It is so soft, I love to hug it. I am a hugger!

Finally, An Outing!

Darn-- Mommy typed a big, long post and it didn't get saved. argh. So, the highlights are:

1. Went to lunch with Aunt Cyndi at Panera Bread


2. Went to see Aunt Cyndi's wonderful Crystal Spa


3. Had a very nice nap at the Grandparents' house (I decided to hang out there even though they were in Mexico, lucky them).


4. Had a MAJORLY MAJOR meltdown after I woke up from my nap. Poor me, I had a hard time. I cried so hard my face was all splotchy


5. Mommy and I went there for the kick off of the Care Affair Auction. Got to play with Ronda Peterson at the Heathman. I would walk around with her, and would practice walking between Ronda and Mommy. It was so much fun being the center of attention.

What an ooky day!

It's not currently raining, but it is cloudy and very, very blustery. I wish the nice weather would come so mommy could take me for a walk in the stroller. It's much too cold to do that today.

I may decide to stay in bed all day. I slept from a little after 8 PM last night to 7:30 this morning. Mommy put me down for a nap at 10:30, and I slept until at least 12:50. Day's half gone, already, and I'm practically snoozing into my NEXT nap! Perhaps I'll be back on track tomorrow. Perhaps not... I like to change it up for Mommy and Daddy!

Hello Dolly!

Grandma has been teaching me to love my dolly. It's working. I'm pretty fond of Max, as well.

Woodland Tulip Festival--- Fit for a Penguin!!!

I went to the Tulip Festival today up in Woodland, WA. It was beautiful. The weather started out pleasant (48-50 degrees), but then the wind picked up and the wind chill made it feel at least 10 degrees colder… BRRRRRR! Thanks to Mommy and Daddy, I was very well bundled up, so I weathered it just fine! Mommy caught me in my first nose pick today. I'm so smart, I even knew to put my finger in her mouth. Oops...

A very blustery (and snowy and haily and thundery/lighteningy) day!

I slept awesome last night. Went down around 8:15 and woke up a little before 6:30. I is an expert puller-upper and really likes pulling myself up on mommy while she sits on the floor pumping milk and typing on the laptop. Fun stuff! Wicked crazy weather today. We had some flurries of SNOW, at least 3 or 4 hail storms, thunder/lightening, and the sun threatened to come out at least once. I don’t think the high reached over 42 degrees. AND IT’S APRIL!! That made for a wintry day spent indoors. Grandma and Grandpa stopped by to say hello, and I enjoyed that very much! It wasn't all gloomy, though. I also had fun playing in the laundry basket, as is documented below :-)

TGIF!!

Katie enjoyed her sleepover at the grandparents. She got to bond with grandpa while mommy and her mommy went shopping. Katie had a nice evening with her parents. She really liked kicking her soccer ball around and has pretty good foot/eye coordination right now. Must get it from her papa!
