September 30 - Katie at Play

I had a GREAT day with Grandpa today. I got to take a walk to the mailbox, played out back (collecting rocks, trying to pull their Radio Flyer, etc), I took some fairly good naps, and had just an all around great time.

I'll miss Grandma and Grandpa. They leave for Ashland this tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday. Maybe I'll learn another new word while they're gone! Mom will work on that.

Here is a slide show of me playing outside with Daddy on Saturday:

September 29 - New Words!

Mommy came down this morning and I surprised her (with a little coaching by Dad) by saying, "more" (M'oh)

AND... Mommy called the g'rents tonight (I'm having a sleepover) and Grandma put the phone up to me and I said, "Cracker" (crah-ger). Mommy was so thrilled!!

I had a very good day with Grandpa. I got to play outside, got some tummy time, was a good eater, Grandma gave me a bath, and overall had a lovely day!

September 27 - My Party Dress

I was very squirrely today and these, unfortunately, are the best pictures my folks could take of me in my adorable dress.

September 27 - SOLD! To the Highest Bidder!

Mommy and Daddy took me to an auction tonight for Innovative Services Northwest. I got to wear a pretty dress and looked So fine!! And I was a perfect little angel all night!! It's a good thing Mom & Dad put me into a sleeper before they left the Heathman! There was a good chance I would have fallen asleep on the way home! Of course, that didn't happen, but I did get to bed by 9:30 (my parents wisely left the auction by 8:30)

I'll be attaching pictures of me in my pretty dress as soon as they get loaded onto the computer.

September 19 - All Dressed Up

I had a little trouble standing still for mommy in my cute outfit. I went to the Ribbon Cutting/Open House for the Innovative Services NW Building.

I look pretty good in plaid, eh?

September 18th - I love this vest!

I just couldn't get enough of wearing my vest. I wanted mommy to put it on over my sleeper, and I wouldn't take it off! :-) I went to my neighborhood Play Group today, and had just the best time. Wore myself out. I fell asleep in the car on the way to Grandpa's and woke only long enough for him to take me out of my car seat and then I fell back asleep on him. Didn't wake up until just before Mommy got home from Costco!

Here are more pics of me in my vest:

September 15 & 16 - G'rent Time, Pool, Rocks, and New Shoes!

Monday: I loved carrying around a "boulder" on Monday. I would tuck it under my chin and walk around with it. Mommy needs to get that on video. I spent about 40 minutes washing it in a little bucket. Went to Kohl's with grandma. I REALLY liked knocking the shoe boxes down from the shelves. Apparently I'm a bit of a show-off... I kept lifting my shirt up and showing my belly. Why not? If you got it, flaunt it!

Mommy will post of pics of me in my new shoes. I love my Nikes so much. On Monday, I was wearing them at the house. Grandma took them off me when I had my nap. As soon as I got up, I grabbed my shoes and took them over to Grandpa to put them on my feet.

Had a nice time playing in the pool. Had a good bath. Had 2 good naps (each about 1.5 hours). Ate well. The usual :-)

Tuesday: I got some more new shoes this week. SO cute!! Grandma got me a pair of Nikes on Monday. Mommy and Grandma went to Kohl's on Tuesday and got a super cute pair of brown Skechers and a pair of Mary Jane-ish black shoes.

I had the usual fun yesterday... playing with Rocks, cleaning them, etc. I just love carrying them under my chin. Which is OK, but a little scary when a little rock disappears and Mommy doesn't know if I put it in my mouth or under my chin.

September 12 - 14 - nice weekend!

I had a very nice weekend. On Saturday morning, we participated in the 2nd Annual Purple Stride, which is a fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan). The drive to the walk took much longer than the walk itself, but that's OK. It was for a great cause, and we raised a little money for it.

After, we drove to Mommy's office. I fell asleep on the way and took a nearly 1.5 hour nap in the car, which was great for Mommy and Daddy. Renae and Alyssa showed up shortly after I woke up, and after a diaper change & mommy's wardrobe change, we walked over to the 2nd Annual Slabtown Festival. http://www.slabtownfestival.com/

That was kinda fun, but not very busy when we were there. Alyssa loooooooved going in the jumpy tiger thingy (Mommy doesn't know what they're called).

We got hungry and went to McMenamins for some lunch. I choked on some little cheese crackers, which was very scary for Mom and Dad.

On Sunday, we went to the G'rents' for a family gathering to remember Uncle Monty. Mommy's cousins Darcy and Sarah were there along with Darcy's husband Nick. It'd been years since I'd seen them (except for Darcy), so it was very nice to catch up.

Just before everyone left, Mommy and Uncle Darren blew up my little pool. After he left, we filled it with some water, and I got to play in it. Well, I thought that was LOADS of fun!! Mommy will post pictures soon.

I'm staying the night at Grandma and Grandpa's. Mommy and Daddy will hopefully get a good night's rest.

September 6 - Cali!

Mommy, Daddy and I flew down to California this weekend to attend a memorial for dear Uncle Monty. I was very good on the plane ride down, but not so much on the plane ride back up. The people in front of us were very impressed with mommy's library of songs. Mommy had to sing a lot to me. A lot. Really. A lot. Daddy did, too. And Daddy read lots of books to me. Well, it was more like the same 2 books over and over again.

Here are pictures of me with Mommy, Grandpa and Grandma in the pool. I really dig the pool!

September 3 - 5 - Hives :-(

Somehow I managed to get hives starting around Wednesday. Mommy took me to the doctor this morning, and she said it was probably viral and that it usually lasts around 72 hours (let's hope so!!)

I leave for California tomorrow, and I'd just hate to still have hives in Cali!

Doesn't hurt, just a little itchy and unsightly.

On a happier note, I pretty much slept through the night last night (first time since Sunday)

September 1 - Yard Work!

I had such a nice time at the g'rents last night, and they enjoyed me very much. In part because I was such a fantabulous sleeper! I was asleep by 8 PM, stirred around 6 AM and woke up just before 7 AM! I also had a nice nap. Mommy and Daddy went golfing this morning and picked me up afterward. They had great fun!

Here are some pictures of me helping my parents pull weeds. Our back yard is a little slanted, so I had some trouble staying upright. It's a good thing I am getting skilled at standing up from a sitting position. I seem to have mastered that in the last few weeks!

Another thing I'm getting good at is climbing into chairs. I practice this lots at my house and the g'rents. I also learned how to crawl onto the couch at my grandparents' house. I can do it when Grandma removes the couch cushions (which makes it a shorter climb) Oh, it's so fun. I like to climb up and then look outside at their back yard. I get so tickled that I just have to clap when I do it!

Here is a slideshow of the FUN I had in the yard this evening. :-)
