June 5 & 14 - birthday girl!

So, I think it's pretty apparent that Deanna has little to no time to blog these days. Right now (July 14), I have Maggie in the Baby Bjorn, and I'm trying to write a blog. I'll at least try to catch up on pictures for inquiring minds :-)

Here are a few pictures from Katie's birthday proper & her birthday party. The lighting didn't cooperate much at her b.day party, so most pictures are too dark, and I don't have much time trying to photoshop 'em! :-)

Katie had a nice time on her birthday, though she was very shy in the beginning. She got lots of neat toys, books, clothes and had a great time eating cake and ice cream for the first time (at 1 year, she had a yummy carrot cup cake) She liked the cake very much, as you can see in the slide show, she's eyeballing her cousin Joey's cake as well! :-)

 
 
 
 

June 2 - Umbilical cord? What umbilical cord???

We couldn't believe it, but this morning, Maggie lost her umbilical cord! That is nearly a week sooner than Katie lost hers, but that's alright. Tummies look so much better w/o 'em!! :-)

Grammy went back home today. We'll miss her very much!! She and Katie had such a good time together! One way or another, we'll see her in the fall.
