I had a bit of a rough night. I woke my parents up a little before 2:30 a.m. I had completely soaked through my diaper. Mommy cleaned me up as best she could, changed my diaper, and while I shivered, mommy put me in a nice new warm sleeper. I then nursed for FORTY minutes (thirsty girl, I guess) before Mommy put me back to bed.
I woke up around 7 and hung out with Daddy while Mommy rested until almost 9 (lazy). I had a nice bath to make sure I was nice and clean, and then I took a whopping 3 hour nap!! WOW!!!!!
After a yummy lunch of couscous with veggies and a mandarin orange, Mommy and I went to visit my Grandparents. I had a great time having them read to me, and I was happy to see my baby doll, which had been left at their house on Wednesday.
Although we found out it was snowing pretty good back at home, we still stayed for dinner. In hindsight, that might have been a mistake. We had a semi-challenging drive home. It was hard for mommy to see on the already-slushy freeway, and the side roads to get home were covered with snow. Hillhurst was very slippery (mommy fishtailed a bit), but Mommy put the car in low, and like the Little Engine That Could, we made it up that hill and got home safe and sound!
In other news, I have recently learned how to climb up onto the futon. While Mommy and Daddy recognize the ability to climb onto furniture as an important milestone, they aren't exactly celebrating this, as they contemplate the future nicks and bruises on my little body!
Speaking of my little body, I got my 18-month shots last Friday. We got a copy of my growth chart. No surprises here... 50% for head size, 60% for weight, and 25% for height!!
My last tidbit is kinda funny. Early last week, Grandma was taking down all her Christmas decorations. She kept calling Grandpa's name for him to come help her. It didn't take long before I was parroting... "Boooooooob"... "BOOOOOOOOOOOB" at the top of my lungs! Mommy and Daddy have a few videos of it, and maybe Mommy will post it on here at some point. It's pretty funny.
